The use of paper.

Since my video I have been experimenting with the idea of crumbled old buidlings in contrast to tall standing modern buildings using mostly paper and cardboard. I like the linear qualities of the modern architecture so I have tried to represent this by using pleating, which creates small but effective shadows also.
The swatches I made with glue, latex, cocoa powder, nuts, oats, raisons, couscous, plaster cast, leaves, stones and many more random materials represent the old, decaying buildings. I like the contrast in colour between the old and new buildings.
I also played around with the projector in college, creating shadows on my paper buildings.

A rough animation.

This is just a short video of buildings made from paper. I didnt get to finish it because my camera had ran out of battery and by the time it had charged the lighting had changed, but you get the idea. The two crumbling down represent old georgian buildings which are being rebuilt as modern buildings.
