Moulds...

I went to visit the resurected georgian house in Limerick. It was a very beautiful house with loads of inspiration for my project. I also went to the Limerick Museum which surprised me, i discovered Limerick Lace. I have always been a fan of lace and its nice to know that it was very popular in the 1800s in Limerick. I have made 3 different sized moulds of the crown windows from silicone and have used the bigest one to create a wax cast and tomorrow i will use it to create a gelco ( i think thats what its called) cast. I have enjoyed using these different techniques because they are new to me. I have also made 3 plaster casts from my moulds. Using a variety of materials to work with is very interesting, as some work well and others dont. I plan to keep using all sorts of materials and experiment with the pattern of the window crown.
